O-H-I-O

This picture says it all...

Cousins Karymn, Kendra & Lincoln came over to cheer on the BUCKEYES!!! Actually the kids played with each other. Outside climbing the tree, shooting hoops, & playing army men. Lisa & I had our fingers clicking the mouse adding gadgets & trying to update this addiction of our family website. And the boys meaning Scott, Steve & Jay watched the Buckeyes smother Youngstown. We have made some really cool adjustments, so I hope that you all enjoy this website as much as I enjoy making it!!! I also changing the comment section, so if you are not a member of blogspot, you still can comment on this page. We would love to hear from you & hopefully you start a site all your own. (By the way, those of you that have dial-up, my sister-in-law has dial-up, & she still has a site with alot of computer-patience due to being slower).

Evan just turned 10!

Birthday Glitter Graphics

Evan had an awesome day! He passed out M&M cookies out to his class for his birthday treat. He had an official scrimmage in football with Pleasant, and won. He had 4 tackles and ran the football for over ten yards twice. And sacked the quarterback, too! When he ran the ball, it took almost the whole team to take him down. It was an awesome run!!!!
There was two games played. One being the fourth grade, and if you play good through the week you are asked individually to dress the JV game which is fifth grade. So, tonight he played with his orginal team and then stepped up with the jayvees. But on game day that I have already posted are only 4th grade games, the JV & Varsity play on Sunday. As you can tell by my excitment, I am ready for football... GO EVAN!!!
Evan's birthday cake this year was alittle different. I wanted to changed it up abit. So, I make a giant chocolate cookie and with icing turned it into a baseball. He was so excited when I showed him!

Junior High Excitement

Makaleigh has been nervous and anxious since she recieved her class schedule on Thursday. Noticing a scheduling problem with her classes, made her even more nervous! The next day, Makaleigh had tried to call the counselor, but with her in meetings all day there was no luck in changing her classes.
Friday, I had put a straightening kit on her hair to relax the curls. And we also cut a little swoop bang. :) She looks so different! I couldn't get the smile off of her face!
Classes on the first day were interesting. Industrial Tech is going to be cool...they will learn woodworking and mechical drawings. French, (what? yes, I said French), and of course the regular requirements English, Algebra, SS and Science are part of her studies. Crazy, huh!?! She is growing up right in front of my eyes, and I am not to sure I like this so well!

Welcome to First Grade...

Noah wasn't too excited about riding the bus again to school. But, when it stopped in front of the house, he ran to get on. I told him that I would meet him at the school to carry all the supplies into the classroom. While I was waiting for him to get off the bus, he started to look anxious to start his fun day! Following him into the school, he was like a pro. We walked down the long hallway filled with tons of kids wondering who is in their class and what today had in store for them. He sat at his table and jumped up to give me a kiss goodbye. So it's official...my baby is a first-grader!

First Day of Fourth Grade for Evan...

Open house for meeting your teacher and seeing the classroom was a big hit. Evan found out the teacher this year is really nice! He said that she has lots of cool ideas and fun things to do in the class for learning. Some of his friends are in the class too, or he will see them at recess.
So, for the first day of school, Evan wasn't nervous, just excited! The teacher discussed how things will be run in her classroom and what she is going to expect throughout the year. For "special", since it was Monday, he had Art class. Special classes consists of Art, Gym, Library/Computer, and Music. Homework was easy, just reading a chapter book about the jungle. After school, Evan rides the bus home and almost missed the drop off. He didn't realize that drop-off was for him, I guess. Luckily, his dad spotted him and got him off the bus. And no football practice tonight due to a long first day of school. In all, Evan had a good day!!!

NO CAVITIES!

Today, Makaleigh & Noah went for a teeth cleaning checkup. And Makaleigh (which is 14 yrs old) has a clean set of teeth with NO cavitities. Yeah! :) Noah was just bragging last night about having no cavities and nothing to worry about. The cleaning went well, but the dentist found two little spot on his adult teeth that could grow into something if not taking care now. Noah is pretty bummed out, and the dentist noticed it right away. He explained that the spots came not due to poor brushing, but due to the way the tooth grew in. After the appointment was over, Noah asked if I was still proud of him. OF COURSE I AM!
